• On the left is a copy of the 5 taka value of the two stamps issued for the International Year of Peace on December 29, 1986. A souvenir sheet was also issued at that time. The stamp is a dry print, giving the flowers the appearance of being the wrong colors. A normal stamp is illustrated to the right.

• The International Peace Year envelope was the first use of the words BANGLADESH POST OFFICE, in Bengali and English on either side of the logo. It was not used again for several issues, but is now standard. It was printed in the same color as the logo.

• The 1986 Collector's Pack is priced at $2.54 in U.S. dollars and F16.05, in French franks.
