Additional: 87-1e and 87-2c are constant varieties found once in each sheet.
There was a program at the Sonargaon Hotel on the date of issue issue. A limited number of FDCs were issued with the special Sonargaon Hotel cancelation for those invited to the event.
A privately produced booklet of stamps was prepared by the Salam Stamp Centre. Each booklet contains six stamps - three stamps of each value. The cover is light blue and the front reads "ROTARY INTERNATIONAL/CONFERENCE FOR DEVELOPMENT/IN BANGLADESH. 12-14 january, 1987"

In 1987 the law was changed making it mandatory that the postal cancellors be changed from the English language to Bangla. For a period of time you will now find plain circular FDC cancellors in the new language. Like everything, there was no consistancy in using the circular/commemorative cancellors.

Additional: The FDC and the stamps have absolutely no dates nor information on them, other than the stamps having the mode of transportation printed in Bengali and English. The cover is very attractive but only states that it is a First Day Cover and has TRANSPORT in Bengali and English. A person who does not read Bengali would have no idea when the cover was released.
