LEFT: Too Hot to Handel at the Auditorium Theatre, Chicago, Illinois, January 19 and 20, 2008. Handel's Messiah with a jazz-gospel flair. This is the third year it was performed in Chicago and each year the crowds gets larger for each performance. Size: 11 x 17ins.
RIGHT: Freedom Fest, 2008 at Madison Wisconsin on February 22, 2008, featuring Archie Shepp, Willie Pickens, Richard Davis, Douglas Ewart, Hanah Jon Taylor, Jobic LeMasson, Tatsu Aoki, Reggie Nicholson, Jim Galloreto, Ernie Adams, and Tom Guillion among others. Size: 11 x 17ins. This poster also exists in a much larger size. Size: 36 x 78ins.

LEFT: Franz Jackson at the U of Chicago on November 30, 2006. Franz was still playing in the Chicago area on occassion even though at the time he was 94. The poster is autographed by Franz. Size: 8 1/2 x 14ins.
RIGHT: Leon Bibb the folk singer and the Modern Jazz Quartet paired on May 8th in either the late 1960s or early 1970s at the Horton Fieldhouse, ISU, Normal, Illinois. When the poster was printed they mistakingly printed either the 18th or 28th and had to cover the first number with a piece of white tape. From a distance it is not visible.

LEFT: Jazz At The Philharmonic (JATP) tour at Frankfort, Germany, October 29, 1972. Size 23 1/2 x 33ins. This poster is now autographed (Picture taken before it was autographed) as I talked with Louis Bellson at the Willie Pickens' birthday bash at the Museum of Science and Industry on February 17, 2006 and he agreed to do such. Only he and Oscar Peterson of all the people listed are still living. He was a performing guest at the party.

Sarah Vaughan and the Symphony, The Irvine Bowl, Laguna Beach, California, September 10, 1983. Size: 15 1/4 x 23 1/4ins. This poster belonged to Sarah and hung in her home. It was consigned to an auction by her daughter after her death.

KaHil and the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble at Transition East, Chicago, Illinois on August 2, 1975. The picture is of Surah, Don Moye, Kahil and Douglas Ewart in the background. Size: 11 x 17ins.

"BIRD LIVES!" concert at Town Hall, New York City on August 31, 1985. Size: 17 1/2 x 22 1/2ins. Barry Harris autogrphed this poster for me after speaking with him at the Willie Pickens' birthday bash at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL., where he was a performing guest. I also was able to get James Moody to autographe it for me recently. The picture was taken before it was autographed.

Woody Herman Orchestra at the Blue Max, Chicago, Illinois on September 22-26, 1981. Size: 25 x 18 1/2ins.

LEFT: Woody Allen playing the clarinet on December 19, 2005 at the Brighton Centre, U.K. Some of the audience were disappointed as they thought Woody would be performing also as a comedian. He is a serious jazz clarinet player and only performed as a musician that evening. Size: 20 x 27ins.
RIGHT: McCoy Tyner at the Keystone Korner in San Francisco, California from Septenber 18th - 30th, in what was probably 1973. Size 11 x 17ins.
